Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

DM believes Christ has called them to make disciples of all nations and strategically prepared college students to respond to that call.

They also believe He has given them effective methods to accomplish His call, such as:

Bible studies that transform character and worldview
Leadership development and discipling
Culturally relevant evangelism
Life-giving, encouraging fellowship
Fervent prayer and moving worship

Finally, they believe they are being used in unique ways because they participate in, consult with and serve churches, and will go to smaller colleges.

DiscipleMakers Staff

Tom & Ali Hallman

DM has many staff members in its organization. As a church, we support the Hallman family.

Both of them grew up thinking they knew who Jesus was, but they were very wrong! As a result of their faulty perspectives, Tom rejected Jesus, and Ali simply ignored Him. It wasn’t until college that they independently came to know Jesus through the Scriptures and the incarnational ministry of DiscipleMakers’ staff and students. Now, as DiscipleMakers missionaries themselves, they greatly delight in helping others know Jesus too!

Tom serves as DiscipleMakers’ Chief Director of Development, focusing on recruiting, interviewing and training the newest missionaries through their initial support-raising. Meanwhile, Ali's passion for musical worship makes her a great fit for helping to lead DiscipleMakers' worship teams for student and staff conferences. Ali also loves ministering God's grace through His Word to younger staff women who, in turn, invest in others.

2024 Women's Conference

DM will typically hold conferences, usually one in the Fall and one in the Spring for all students, but I wanted to deviate from discussing them and talk about a special event instead.

This past May, a Women's conference was held, with dozens of young women coming from schools all across Pennsylvania.

During this time the students were able to attend intense topical studies, worship corporately, and pray intentionally for each other.

As a result of this conference, I was told of one student in particular that was able to act as a disciple to another, leading her to Christ after the conference was over. The discipler had planted, DM had watered, and God gave the growth, bringing her from death to life!
